How can I tell whether caching is genuinely working?
The response headers settle it. On a repeat visit you should see the LiteSpeed cache header reporting a hit. The site will feel quicker too, but feelings are not evidence and the header is.
My CSS edits have stopped showing up — why is that?
The cache is doing its job. Purge the plugin cache after design edits and hard-refresh past your browser's own copy. If it keeps catching you out, exclude the file you are working on until the design settles down.
Where do the servers actually sit?
