Terms of Service

1. Agreeing to these terms

Place an order with Hosting Seller (“we”, “us”), or use anything we supply to you, and these terms apply in full. Should any part of them fail to sit right, the sensible course is to leave the service well alone.

2. Prices, invoices and renewals

Orders for hosting, VPS and domains are billed in USD through our billing platform, and the charge falls due before each service period begins. Whatever rate your hosting plan carries on the day you sign up is the rate you renew at later. Where a domain sells at a reduced price for the first year, the renewal figure stands beside it before you reach the checkout, so no number turns up afterwards that was missing from the price tag. An invoice left unpaid past its due date may lead to the service it covers being suspended.

3. Money back, and when

On premium and business hosting plans you have 30 days to ask for your hosting fees back. Reseller hosting allows 7 days. Domain registrations, VPS and dedicated servers go to our upstream providers the moment you check out, which is why no refund is possible once they are live and running.

4. Things you may not do with the service

Nobody may use our services in order to:

• run malware, hand out phishing pages or spread unlawful material;
• send unsolicited bulk email, which is to say spam, at anyone;
• attack, probe or bring down other networks and their systems;
• consume shared resources so heavily that other customers feel the loss.

Step over those lines and the account may be suspended, or closed altogether. Where a warning first is practical, you will get one.

5. Uptime and support

Our target for network uptime is 99.9%. Should a month fall below that figure through a fault at our end, ask us and a pro-rated credit goes onto your account. The support desk is staffed around the clock, and a ticket is how you reach it.

6. Your content, and who holds a copy of it

Daily backups are run as a courtesy, not as a substitute. Keeping a copy of your own content remains your job. Past restoring the most recent backup in our hands, responsibility for lost data is not something we can carry.

7. The limit on what we owe

Services come to you “as is”. So far as the law allows it, our total liability on any claim is capped at the sum you paid for that particular service over the previous three months.

8. Who the contract is actually with

Hosting Seller is a trading name of IGI Security Services Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, whose company number is 15881180, registered office 60 Tottenham Court Road, Suite 4944a, Fitzrovia, London, United Kingdom, W1T 2EW. Your contract is with IGI Security Services Ltd. The company can be checked on the public Companies House register whenever you like.

9. Governing law and jurisdiction

Whatever arises out of these terms or the subject matter they cover, be it a dispute or a claim, and whether contractual in nature or not, falls to be governed and read in line with the law of England and Wales. Both you and we agree that exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim of that kind rests with the courts of England and Wales.

If you are a consumer, nothing set out above strips away the protection handed to you by the mandatory consumer-protection law of the country where you live, and nothing here narrows your right to bring proceedings in your local courts wherever that country's law gives you that right. Should your national law grant rights these terms would otherwise cut back, the national rights are the ones that stand.

We sell worldwide. Whether buying and using our services is lawful where you happen to live is yours to check.

10. Cancellation rights

Under UK and EU rules, a consumer normally holds the statutory right to cancel a distance contract inside 14 days without giving any reason at all. Our own offer goes further: 30 days on hosting plans and 7 days on reseller plans. That better offer does not push aside the statutory right, so rely on whichever of the two suits you.

One exception is worth stating plainly, since it catches people off guard: a domain registration, renewal or transfer cannot be cancelled or refunded once it has been placed. The registry bills us the instant the domain is registered, and there is no clawing that cost back afterwards. Fuller detail sits in our refund policy.

11. Sales tax, VAT and GST charges

Prices appear without whatever sales tax, VAT or GST you may be liable for. Where the law obliges us to charge tax on your order, the amount is calculated and shown at checkout before any money moves. Outside the UK and the EU, working out and settling whatever your own country levies on a service bought from abroad falls to you.

12. Changes to these terms

Revisions to these terms are possible in future. Anything of real substance reaches you by email, or through your client area, at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Any question in the meantime goes to info@hosting-seller.com.
