What does it actually pay?
20% of every payment a referral makes, for as long as they stay on the shelf. A $4.66/mo plan billed annually returns roughly $11.18 a year, every year it renews; a $29.99/mo reseller plan is about $72 a year, recurring. The arithmetic rewards quality — ten customers who stay five years beat fifty who leave inside three months.
Why recurring rather than one big bounty?
Pay a big lump sum up front and you reward whoever shovels the most signups through the door, fit or no fit. That is precisely how affiliate pages end up stuffed with reviews nobody believes a word of. Take a slice of what we collect instead, and we prosper only while your referral sticks around, which means you get paid for sending us people we actually suit. Is this the same as reselling?
No, and the gap between them is worth understanding. As an affiliate you make the introduction; billing and support land on us, and you take a cut without touching the account again. A reseller buys capacity from us and sells hosting under their own banner: they set the prices, keep the entire margin, own the relationship with the customer and field the first round of questions. One earns quietly in the background. The other runs a shop. Build sites for clients already, and reselling will nearly always pay you more.
When does the money arrive?
Commission clears once the referred order passes our 30-day refund window — we cannot pay out on an order that might still come back. After that, balances above $50 are settled monthly in USD. If the customer later refunds or files a chargeback, that commission is reversed.
What is off limits?
Paid-search ads bidding on our own brand name, which simply bills us for traffic that was already coming. Coupon and voucher spam. Cookie stuffing. Sending yourself through your own link, or your own orders. Worst of the lot: untrue claims about us. Write that we have datacentres in twelve countries and some reader ends up feeling lied to, and the pair of us will have earned that. Can I promote outside the UK?
Yes. In fact we would rather you did. Cards from any country work here, and we sell across the world. Do read our infrastructure page first, though, so the promises you make hold up: the servers sit in London, which is very good across Europe and workable a long way beyond that with caching, yet a poor match for readers who are all in Australia or East Asia. Somebody who refunds inside 30 days earns you nothing at all. Pointing the right readers our way helps you as much as it helps us.
Is there a better rate for volume?
Not as a published tier. Bolt-on tiers mostly exist to make the headline figure look bigger than it really is. Send us steady, genuine volume and you should write in; we will talk it through properly, one to one. Negotiating honestly with a real partner beats advertising a rate that hardly anybody ever reaches.
