A move that leaves the mail behind is not a move.

Files and databases

Document root and every database behind it travel together, so nothing lands half-connected at this end. Permissions ride along, so do cron jobs, and so do the config files that point one at the other.

Mailboxes, with the mail in them

Accounts, aliases, forwarders, and the messages already sitting in those inboxes. Mail is what people forget about until the first Monday after a move, which is exactly why we handle it as a matter of course.

Certificates and redirects

Before the switch we issue a fresh SSL certificate at this end, and whatever redirect rules you already lean on come across intact rather than being rebuilt from memory.

Nothing goes dark

Visitors carry on being served by your old host the whole way through. Our copy sits on a temporary address until you have looked it over and given the word. Changing DNS comes last in the order, never first.

    Tell us what to move

    Order a plan, then raise a ticket carrying either the login at your current host or a backup file. No separate migration product waits on the shelf, and no charge needs authorising.

    We build the copy

    Files, databases and mail land on the new account, where a temporary address makes them reachable. Meanwhile the live site keeps serving visitors from your old host, undisturbed.

    You check it, then we switch

    Go through the copy properly, page by page. Once you are content, point the domain at us and we watch it while the change spreads across the internet. Anything wrong gets fixed before the switch rather than after it.

Six things, most of which you already have.

  • A cPanel login, or equivalent, at your current host
  • Or a full backup instead, if sharing a login sits badly with you
  • The domain, plus access to wherever the DNS is managed
  • A note about anything unusual: custom cron, a staging copy, some odd redirect rule
  • A window of time, if the site must sit still during business hours
  • Somebody who will look at the copy and approve it before the switch

Is it really free, or is there a catch?

Genuinely free, on every plan, the cheapest one included. No migration fee is charged, nothing is billed per site, and no minimum term hangs off it. Commercial sense drives that rather than generosity: what keeps people sitting with a host they dislike is fear of the move itself, so we took the fear away. Rebuilding a site is a different matter, and none of that is free: the same goes for redesigning one, or repairing an application that arrived broken.

How long does it take?

Give us access and most sites are copied and ready for you to check inside 24 hours. A large store takes longer, as does a mailbox holding many gigabytes, or an account carrying dozens of separate sites, and you will hear that at the start rather than at the end. Flipping DNS takes moments. How quickly it reaches every visitor rests on the TTL your current DNS carries, which is worth lowering a day beforehand if you can manage it.

Will my site go down?

It should not, and the whole method is built around that. The copy goes up on your new account while the old one carries on serving visitors, and nothing changes for anybody until you have seen it and told us to switch. One window cannot be avoided: DNS propagation, where some visitors land on the old server and some on the new. That is why both stay running, and why we ask you to leave your old hosting in place for a few days after the move.

What happens if my current host refuses to release the site?

Your own data belongs to you, and most hosts hand over a backup when asked. Should yours refuse, a cPanel full backup you generate yourself gives us plenty to work from. Failing even that, an FTP copy alongside a database export is usually enough for a rebuild. Tell us what you can lay hands on, and before you order anything we will say honestly whether it will do.

Do you move sites that are not on cPanel?

Yes. Plesk, DirectAdmin, A2, managed WordPress platforms and plain FTP-plus-MySQL setups are all routine here. What counts is whether we can read the files and export the databases, not which panel they sat behind. The applications we meet most often are WordPress, WooCommerce, Joomla, Drupal, Magento, OpenCart and Laravel.

Can you move email as well as the website?

Yes, and we would much rather you asked. Mailboxes, aliases and the messages already in them travel with the site. Shifting a website while leaving the mail behind is the commonest way a move falls apart a week later, when somebody spots the contact form still delivering to a server nobody pays for.
