Two agreements

The terms of service govern hosting you have bought. What follows governs the website and binds every visitor to it, customer or otherwise. Where the two overlap on a service you hold, the terms of service take priority.

1. Permitted use

Read it, link to it, quote it with attribution, run the domain search whenever you like. What is off limits:

• scraping hard enough to degrade it, or dodging the rate limits on search and pricing;
• republishing substantial portions of this writing under your own name, which covers lifting our page copy for your storefront text, a thing resellers genuinely do ask about;
• framing or dressing it up so as to imply a partnership nobody agreed to;
• hunting for vulnerabilities beyond the terms laid down in the data security statement.

2. Ownership

The writing, layout, artwork and marks belong to IGI Security Services Ltd. Photography sits under a licence granted to us, and permission to quote the writing does not stretch to the pictures. Third-party names (cPanel, WordPress, WHMCS and the rest) belong to their owners and appear here to describe, nothing more.

Reselling the services buys you no licence over our branding at all. Sell the hosting under your own name, in your own words.

3. Prices and specifications

Every price is quoted and charged in US dollars. Figures shown in your currency are live conversions, there to orient you; what leaves your account is the dollar amount, converted at your bank's rate.

Registries set domain pricing, and it shifts. Anything published here is an invitation to treat rather than a binding offer; the figure that binds is whatever sits in the basket at the moment you pay. Where a price appears in obvious error, no obligation falls on us to honour it, and you will hear about that before any money moves, not afterwards.

Specifications shift as the platform gets upgraded; where a change cuts something on an existing service, the customers involved are told about it.

4. Guidance is general

The guides and comparisons get researched and written to be of use, but they carry general information, not advice about your particular circumstances. Nothing on these pages counts as legal, tax or financial advice. That includes whatever we write about setting up as a reseller, which runs into company formation and tax, and deserves a professional who knows your position.

Comparisons against a competitor show whatever was public on the day of writing. Providers move pricing without warning, so check it before you lean on one.

5. Outbound links

Where a registry, some documentation or a tool answers better than we can, we link to it. Those sites lie outside our control, carry no wholesale endorsement, and what they do with your data is a matter entirely for them.

6. Availability

Given to you as it stands, and not covered by the service level agreement, which covers hosting you have paid for rather than this brochure. Pages here may change, shift address or vanish without notice.

7. Liability

So far as the law permits, we accept no liability for loss that follows from leaning on the general information here, from a third-party site you reached through one of our links, or from this site being out of reach.

Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury arising through negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law forbids us from excluding. Statutory consumer rights remain entirely unaffected by it.

8. Cookies and personal data

Browser storage: cookie policy. Personal data: privacy policy. Exercising a right: GDPR and your data rights.

9. Governing law

The law of England and Wales, and the courts there hold jurisdiction. A consumer resident anywhere else in the UK may also bring proceedings locally.
