Is Joomla on its way out?
It is smaller than it was, but actively maintained by a committed community. Less popular is not the same as abandoned. For the structural jobs it does well it remains a sensible modern pick, and migrations run in both directions.
Which suits the people editing content better?

Are backups included, and can I put one back myself?
