Will compression spoil my photographs?

At sensible settings, no. Side by side at quality 80 against 100, viewers cannot pick out the original. A portfolio can run higher quality on the gallery pages specifically while the rest of the site stays lean.

Should I be serving WebP or AVIF?

The plugin serves whichever the visitor's browser supports, with a fallback behind it, so it is not a decision you have to make. WebP is the universal workhorse; AVIF squeezes further where it is supported. Automation gets it right per visitor.

Does hosting come with mailboxes?
